Anyonic Behavior of Quantum Group Fermionic and Bosonic Systems

چکیده
The role of quantum groups and quantum Lie algebras [1] in physics has its origin in the theory of vertex models [2] and the quantum inverse scattering method [3]. From the mathematical point of view, two of the most important developments have been their understanding in terms of the theory of noncommutative Hopf algebras [4] and their relation to non-commutative geometry [5, 6, 7]. In recent years the study of quantum groups and quantum algebras has greatly diversified into several areas of theoretical physics. Based on quantum group ideas, a considerable amount of work was devoted towards a formulation of the so called q-deformed physical systems. These approaches are attempts to develop more general formulations of quantum mechanics [8] and field theory [9, 10]. The main motivation behind this type of projects resides Talk given at International Conference on Orbis Scientae 1997, January 23-26 Miami, Florida [email protected]

New Quantum Groups by Double-bosonisation
We obtain new family of quasitriangular Hopf algebras C 0|n q >⊳·Uq(sun)· ⊲<C q via the author’s recent double-bosonisation construction for new quantum groups. They are versions of Uq(sun+1) with a fermionic rather than bosonic quantum plane of roots adjoined to Uq(sun). We give the n = 2 case in detail. We also consider the anyonic-double of an anyonic (Z/nZ-graded) braided group and the doub...
متن کاملSupersymmetry without Fermions
The simplest N = 2 supersymmetric quantum mechanical system is realized in terms of the bosonic creation and annihilation operators obeying either ordinary or deformed Heisenberg algebra involving Klein operator. The construction comprises both the exact and spontaneously broken supersymmetry cases with the scale of supersymmetry breaking being governed by the deformation parameter. Proceeding ...
متن کاملAn explicit realization of fractional statistics in one dimension
An explicit realization of anyons is provided, using the three-body Calogero model. The fact that in the coupling domain, −1/4 < g < 0, the angular spectrum can have a band structure, leads to the manifestation of the desired phase in the wave function, under the exchange of the paticles. Concurrently, the momentum corresponding to the angular variable is quantized, exactly akin to the relative...
متن کاملAnyonic Realization of the Quantum Affine Lie Superalgebras
We give a realization of the quantum affine Lie superalgebras Uq(Â(M − 1, N − 1)) in terms of anyons defined on a one or two-dimensional lattice, the deformation parameter q being related to the statistical parameter ν of the anyons by q = eiπν . The construction uses anyons contructed from usual fermionic oscillators and deformed bosonic oscillators. As a byproduct, realization deformed in any...
متن کاملSurprises for Qcd at Nonzero Chemical Potential
In this lecture we compare different QCD-like partition functions with bosonic quarks and fermionic quarks at nonzero chemical potential. Although it is not a surprise that the ground state properties of a fermionic quantum system and a bosonic quantum system are completely different, the behavior of partition functions with bosonic quarks does not follow our naive expectation. Among other surp...
